Sensum Sweater

I have wanted to make something I could wear for a while now and when I saw the Sensum Sweater on elevanhandmade's instagram feed I knew I had to make it. It's so different from the usual crochet sweaters and has a beautiful texture.

I used 2 strands of WI yarn in mustard from Hobbycraft, and found out the hard way to go down a hook size! The pattern recommends 8mm, I ended up useing a 6.5mm to get the correct gauge.

Note to self: Always do the gauge test!

Giant ball of yarn after frogging the whole thing!

I started over after finishing the body as it was like a dress and I knew I wouldn't wear it. It was a bit disheartening, but I got lots of practice at the puff stitch and how the short rows work.

The pattern has 2 sleeve options, a bulky sleeve or a fitted sleeve. I went for the bulky sleeve as I love the way it puffs out. Who doesn't love a statement sleeve?!

I'm forever starting a new project before finishing my current one, so I was really please this worked up so quickly and I finished before winter was over! It's such a warm and cozy jumper I loved wearing it and had so many lovely compliments.

First outting for my new sweater, the school run!!

Have you tried the Sensum Sweater? What did you think?
